Hello again, this is Dionisius. I am now writing about AO. #fanfare
As with the last post, I have explained what is AO in a gist. In this post, I will explain it with more detail. This post might be the shortest one so far ( 2 posts only #facepalm )
Academic Orientation, or AO as it’s abbreviation was a time for new students at Binus University to adapt with the university study methodology. We acted… No, we studied for around two weeks with the punishment of breaking the rules being reduced or even nulled. But! That doesn’t mean we can repeat our mistakes after the AO has finished, since you will get a suitable punishment due to your offenses.
In general, what we must know about studying in Binus University is practically… Its rules. ( yeah, no kidding sucker… #facepalm )
I will list some of the rules I remembered:
1. You should arrive at the designated classroom at most 10 minutes before class begins. ( The normal dispensation time is approx. 20 minutes after class began [ depends on the lecturer’s personality and mood though ] . Tapping only works for one session, always remember to tap again if you have another class.
2. Do not wear “too skinny” Jeans and / or short pants and / or skirts around campus. Shoes also a must.
3. The requirements to join the final examination are as follow:
a. > 80% attendance in class
b. have KMK ( Kartu Mata Kuliah )
4. When doing an examination, do not cheat. Be honest and fair when doing the test. Remember, the money that made you attend this university was not yours entirely, mostly from parents wallets weren’t they?
5. Do not kill and do not steal #biblesources
My AO comprised of Basic Programming skills. I am a Computer Science Course student, remember?
I must admit that some of the class was boring and not productive at all but, I have to persevere here and there if I want to build my dream’s program.
